Helsinki, Finland, July 5, 2010 - The Strategic Centre for Science, Technology and Innovation for Energy and Environment, CLEEN Oy, launches an ambitious 50 M€ research programme for five years on environmental monitoring and services.

Karoliina Peippo has been appointed as Manager, Communications and Administration to CLEEN Ltd as of May 3, 2010
Karoliina Peippo, M.Sc. in Economics, is appointed as Manager, Communications and Administration to CLEEN Oy. Previously, Karoliina has worked for ABB Drives marketing communications. Before her career at ABB, she has worked within communications at KONE Ltd and for Nordea Bank Finland in administrative tasks.
At CLEEN Oy, Karoliina will be in charge of communications for different stakeholders and of the financial administration of CLEEN R&D programs.
Karoliina has graduated as Master of Science in Economics from the University of Vaasa in 2008. Her major subject was international business; management and organizations and as minors she studied international marketing, business law and French.

Advisor appointed to Cleen Oy
We are pleased to announce the appointment of Eija Nyyssonen, MSocSc, as Advisor of CLEEN Ltd. Previously Eija was working at the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland concerning the growing international demand for sustainable energy solutions. In her role as Advisor Eija will be working with the coordination of CLEEN R&D programmes and communications strategy. The appointment will be effective immediately. Program Manager Appointment
We are pleased to announce the appointment of MSc (Eng.) Jonas Wolff as Program Manager of the Smart Grids and Energy Markets program. Jonas has been working as the Research Manager at ABB Oy since 2008 with the responsibility of coordinating ABB’s participation in SHOK programs. Previously he was working as Senior Technology Adviser at TEKES (2007-2008) and as Program Manager of the DENSY research program at Merinova (2003-2007). In his role as Program Manager for the Smart Grids and Energy Markets Program Jonas will report to the Program Steering Group (PSG) and to the CTO of Cleen Oy. The appointment will be effective immediately. Please join us in wishing Jonas success in the new role.
CTO appointed to Cleen Oy
Dr. Jatta Jussila has been appointed to CTO of Cleen Oy. She will start in his new position from 4th of May. Before the appointment Jatta Jussila has been working in energy department in Ministry of Employment and the Economy (in Finland).
CEO appointed to Cleen Oy
Dr. Tommy Jacobson has been appointed to CEO of Cleen Oy. He will start in his new position from the beginning of April. Tommy Jacobsson has been working in many positions in product and business devlopment e.g. in VTT, Fortum Oyj and Nalco Company.
Chairman of the Board has selected
To the Board of Directors selected seven companies and two research centers representatives. Kimmo Forsman from ABB Corporation selected as Chairman of the Board.
